Tribeca
I have two separate broadband lines, one is 3 MB (with my Gigaset modem router), the other is about .500 (with a Nokia modem and Linksys BEFSR41 router). Yet with the Gigaset I get download speeds rarely exceeding 33 KB but with the Linksys I get between double and triple this download speed. Both give me a "yellow" indicator. For both I have the DHT and UPNP off and both the DHT and UPNP tend to crash the Linksys. Even cloely following the instructions, I have not been able to achieve Port Forwarding on either modem. I believe I should be getting much better DL speeds with the Gigaset. It's strange. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Switeck
Your modem may contain a mini-router or firewall that needs to be configured too.
