ultimawar2
Kayso, direct downloads i get 830KBPS, however, when i run torrents the max i ever get is only around 60kbps sometimes(especially recently) im getting as low as even 10kbps, My network connection is "Working like it should" according to the utorrent program yet i still get slow download speeds( there are more than enough seeders)It could be because i have rogers internet(i live in Canada) but i would like to know how to improve my torrent DL speeds, Thanks.Edit: I tried torrenting that openoffice.org file and i got upto 500kbps! why are my other downloads going so slow? jewelisheaven
Have you checked the Setup Guide.. or the How-To, I'm not sure which one has the links to http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/HTTP downloads are what speedtests report, and what your ISP advertises. If the ISP shaped / limited HTTP they'd have a revolt, so most do shaping profiles based upon traffic type.
Ultima
Rogers is stupid. And try the µTorrent 1.8 alpha? Why your other downloads are moving slowly can be because of Rogers, or just the fact that there are no fast peers in the swarm.
