Upload speed going WAY faster than Download.

Had terrible download speeds the last few days, so today I tried some of the common tips I got to try to speed things up. Made sure I wasn't on port 6881-6899, did the half connection thing between 50-100, disabled windows firewall, etc.

So I reran the speed test, came out with 40 ms, DL at 2346 kbs, and UL at 721kbs. So i set my speed to 768 kbs, and ended up with a DL and UL rate of both about 50 kbs each.

Yet if I set upload to unlimited, it COMPLETELY surpasses my DL speed, hitting up to 150 kbs while DL stays at around 40kbs-- I was under the impression DL should be faster than UL Not sure if this is relevant, but in the last few weeks, I've had DL speeds of up to 200 kbs, but it's really inconsistent and lately its been at like 10 kbs average.

I just ran the port checker test and got the message "Error! Port 19809 does not appear to be open" and at 30 kbs DL and UL speed right now.

The end goal is to get my speeds as fast as possible, so if anyone can see anything I'm doing wrong or give me some tips/info it would be greatly appreciated!

Half Open Connections DOES NOT INCREASE DOWNLOAD.

Did you check OpenOffice Torrents to verify you can download at your expected speeds? Did you follow the Setup Guide? (Guides page link #3) Unlimited is not recommended for upload as that inevitably chokes your connection when down + up-loading. On a 720 speed test you cannot hit 100 KiBps upload.

Additionally checking http://www.canyouseeme.org and http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=YOURPORTNUMBER and https://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=YOURPORTNUMBER to test open ports.
