FHS Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Okey, something weird just happened. I downloaded some music and skipped the files I didn't want to download. When the files I did want was finished, I clicked on them and opened them in iTunes and played them and added them to my iPod.This was a couple of days ago. When I was to play them in iTunes just a couple of minutes ago, iTunes couldn't find the files and when I went to their folder, they had .ut! at the end of their names. In uTorrent they weren't finished and only a small percent of them had been downloaded. What happened? They were finished a couple of days ago but now, they're not?
DreadWingKnight Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 iTunes re-tags files.uTorrent considers re-tagged files as different files and then re-downloads them.
FHS Posted February 24, 2008 Author Report Posted February 24, 2008 Oh, okey. So the only way to get them back is to download them again? :/
DreadWingKnight Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Pretty much. Most of us don't recommend having indexing programs monitoring the download folders of uTorrent because of the amount of silent file re-tagging that happens.
