k4m4ki Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 My utorrent have started to freeze. Never had this kind of behavior until 1.7.7As long as the list is empty the application runs normal. The freeze occurs when I add a torrent for download. It runs for a 30 second to 2 minI have tried installed the application again, run without FW and and the On-access scanner (Norman v7.00) but without any success. The process can not be killed. You can find my hijackthis.log, uTorrent.exe.txt and a forced dump file, jit.dmp, in a zipped archive at http://upload2.net/page/download/niwynBOOUd1jDo0/uTorrent_logs.zip.htmlLet me know if you need any more information. Thanks
Ultima Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 "Run without" as in disabled, or as in uninstalled? Disabling won't help -- try uninstalling Norman if you haven't already done so just for testing purposes (Norman has been known to cause problems before).Additionally, can you get/run Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, File > Save, open the saved text file, copy/paste the list here?
jewelisheaven Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 >< If he provided the HJT log already it has the process list. Make sure it's a DLL list (open procexp.exe, Ctrl-L, Ctrl-D, click utorrent.exe, Ctrl-A). You can just copy-paste the text file log into a post below k4m4ki
k4m4ki Posted February 26, 2008 Author Report Posted February 26, 2008 Yes... when I say "Run without" I mean that I just disable it.
DreadWingKnight Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 disable isn't enough, you need to uninstall to remove hooks
