xanxanlol
I've wracked my brain troubleshooting this out for the past three hours and have scoured the Internet (gooogle) looking for answers with no luck so now I'm falling back to asking random people.Port forwarding, UPnP and DMZ have all stopped working on one single computer on my wireless network. However, they still work on other computers on the same network AND they work when I start this computer in safe mode with networking (running Windows XP Pro). I've tested with Windows Firewall turned off and don't have any antivirus or firewall applications running.Here's a list of tasks running:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\cisvc.exeC:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\cvpnd.exeC:\Program Files\CVSNT\cvsservice.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\inetinfo.exeC:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\InCD\InCDsrv.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\snmp.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\Shared\hpqwmiex.exeC:\Program Files\HPQ\Shared\Sierra Wireless\Win32\Unicode\SWIHPWMI.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\TSVNCache.exeC:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Quick Launch Buttons\QlbCtrl.exeC:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\InCD\NBHGui.exeC:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\InCD\InCD.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\taskswitch.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxpers.exeC:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exeC:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxsrvc.exeC:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exeC:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\HumanizedEnso\Enso.exeC:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exeC:\Program Files\Skype\Plugin Manager\skypePM.exeC:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 3\firefox.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\cidaemon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\cidaemon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\dllhost.exeC:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\kav7.0.1.325en.exeC:\kav\kav7.0\english\setup.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\MsiExec.exeC:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\HiJackThis.exeAnd output from tcpview:alg.exe:2448 TCP 127.0.0.1:1027 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING Enso.exe:3044 TCP 127.0.0.1:1115 127.0.0.1:1114 ESTABLISHED Enso.exe:3044 TCP 127.0.0.1:1114 127.0.0.1:1115 ESTABLISHED Enso.exe:3044 TCP 127.0.0.1:7070 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING firefox.exe:2308 TCP 10.0.0.3:3688 207.68.178.239:80 FIN_WAIT1 firefox.exe:2308 TCP 10.0.0.3:3684 207.46.16.252:80 FIN_WAIT1 firefox.exe:2308 TCP 10.0.0.3:3685 207.46.16.252:80 FIN_WAIT1 firefox.exe:2308 TCP 127.0.0.1:1161 127.0.0.1:1162 ESTABLISHED firefox.exe:2308 TCP 127.0.0.1:1162 127.0.0.1:1161 ESTABLISHED firefox.exe:2308 TCP 127.0.0.1:1164 127.0.0.1:1163 ESTABLISHED firefox.exe:2308 TCP 127.0.0.1:1163 127.0.0.1:1164 ESTABLISHED firefox.exe:2308 TCP 10.0.0.3:3886 209.85.175.99:80 CLOSE_WAIT firefox.exe:2308 TCP 10.0.0.3:3887 209.85.175.99:80 CLOSE_WAIT lsass.exe:836 UDP 0.0.0.0:500 *:* lsass.exe:836 UDP 0.0.0.0:4500 *:* msmsgs.exe:3028 UDP 127.0.0.1:1118 *:* Skype.exe:3016 TCP 10.0.0.3:3629 61.194.61.80:53280 ESTABLISHED Skype.exe:3016 TCP 0.0.0.0:22933 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING Skype.exe:3016 UDP 0.0.0.0:22933 *:* Skype.exe:3016 UDP 127.0.0.1:1108 *:* snmp.exe:1144 UDP 0.0.0.0:161 *:* svchost.exe:1072 TCP 0.0.0.0:135 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING svchost.exe:1116 UDP 10.0.0.3:520 *:* svchost.exe:1116 UDP 127.0.0.1:123 *:* svchost.exe:1116 UDP 10.0.0.3:123 *:* svchost.exe:1160 UDP 0.0.0.0:1127 *:* svchost.exe:1160 UDP 0.0.0.0:1914 *:* svchost.exe:1160 UDP 0.0.0.0:1038 *:* svchost.exe:1160 UDP 0.0.0.0:1139 *:* svchost.exe:1160 UDP 0.0.0.0:3869 *:* svchost.exe:1160 UDP 0.0.0.0:3870 *:* svchost.exe:1160 UDP 0.0.0.0:3871 *:* svchost.exe:1232 UDP 10.0.0.3:1900 *:* svchost.exe:1232 UDP 127.0.0.1:1900 *:* System:4 TCP 10.0.0.3:139 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING System:4 TCP 0.0.0.0:445 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING System:4 UDP 10.0.0.3:137 *:* System:4 UDP 10.0.0.3:138 *:* System:4 UDP 0.0.0.0:445 *:*
2good2b
a)what port is it you are trying to forward? maybe another application is using that port? try a port in the 50xxx range.b)there is a VPN related process running...if you run utorrent over a VPN you need to set net.bind_ip and net.outgoing_ip to the address assigned to your VPN connection (in utorrent goto Preferences, Advanced)
xanxanlol
Thanks for the quick reply.a) There isn't anything using that port, and I've tried multiple random ports. Also, that port was working when I was in safe mode. I thought of that as well, but the connection is inactive. I've tried terminating the process but it does no good. 2good2b
in safe mode, not all application/services/drivers start. try disabling kaspersky before starting utorrent.and which port ARE you trying to use?
xanxanlol
I'm trying to use 51569, just randomly picked it but it doesn't randomize. The Kaspersky process has nothing to do with it because it's just an installation process, and even without it running the problem still persists. I was installing it because I uninstalled a trial version of it recently and was wondering whether it mucked up my networking settings.Edit: I ran http://www.junegillespie.plus.com/UPnPTest.exe to diagnose UPnP, and it informs me that "Windows is ready to receive UPnP messages, but they are never arriving. When the test tool runs this test, it requests to map a port on the router (TCP 1345), and checks the routers response, if successful, it then deletes this port mapping." From it's suggestions, I believe that I have a local firewall installed but I can't find it from the process list.Is there any way to investigate if there's a local firewall installed on the computer? jewelisheaven
Could you have extra Cisco software installed other than the VPN client? C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\HumanizedEnso\Enso.exe Do you know what that is?
xanxanlol
That's just a keyboard shortcut program.http://www.humanized.com/Ok I *think* the problem is solved. For reference to future generations:I installed ZoneAlarm (the free version) and uninstalled it, it prompted me to disable my a Cisco VPN service which I did and now everything is working fine and dandy.:/
