i have a speedstream 5200 modem from my isp & a dlink 604 router.i've been @ this for 3 days/nights now, going in2 my router & changing ip addresses & ports,,just 2 get it working,,but everytime i do a check port forwarding i get the same answer,,error..but not my ip,,it's a Bell ip, i did an ip search on the address that kept appearing in the port forwarding test & it's the same every time, but it's not mine...i have done everything i can think of but obviously not the right thing ..i've checked the forum here but don't c anything that applies 2 my problem,,

I can understand frustration due to trying to fix a problem and being unsuccessful after days.. But could you try to keep grammar and syntax together please :) It's courtesy to try to give those who would help you a clear understanding of your setup, which you did.

I see you have a speedstream modem and a Dlink router on your setup... IIRC the speedstream has additional port forwarding capabilities which you should disable to be albe to use your router. I believe somewhere in the How-To it mentions trying to set double-NAT devices *your modem in this case* to "bridge mode", which essentially turns off your mini-router in it. This alows you to only need to forward ports on the DLink to get the ports open. Additionally you can use http://www.canyouseeme.org and http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=YOURPORTNUMBER and https://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=YOURPORTNUMBER to test open ports, as each uses a different metric.

Have you tried OpenOffice Torrents to verify you have not been put on a shaping profile due to your downloading??

Can you go back through the How-To (linked below) and describe the steps you did, and steps you were unable to do?
