MrTerry
i can not download...the instructions at portforwarding.com don't work with my modem, they only work with my dlink 604 router but that is not allowing torrents past my modem .. i have done a bunch of google searches for variations on how to set up port forwarding in my modem..i can get into it but all the options i have are : setup, status and mode..when i click setup it asks me to enter user name ,password and then save settings, which i do but i never get any options other than status and mode,,i never see port forwarding or any other options,,since i gather that bell sympatico is not stopping torrents, then i guess it's my modem settings,,i have no firewall activated.how can i get the option of port forwarding in my modem. thanks
The_Nephilim
Hi, Is your Modem Provided or rented from your ISP??

jewelisheaven
Yeah, heh... I think all speedstreams these days have their NAT enabled. If you can login and switch to mode, do you have an option for "Bridge mode" or "disable NAT"?? That would change the setup so that only your DLINK is arresting connections. Afterwards you should experience normal operation.... with the (pretty standard) shaping profiles sympatico seems to employ these days. A search above.. with sympatico should suggest the similar tack others have done while on your ISP

jewelisheaven
No no, lol not searching sympatico... searching here http://forum.utorrent.com/search.php?action=search&show_as=posts&keywords=sympatico Hmm... given the limited options, I'm not sure how it's even determining the NAT status, lol in which case this search may help http://forum.utorrent.com/search.php?action=search&show_as=topics&keywords=speedstream
