Razor09
I've been having a strange speed issue. I can achieve the same speed on utorrent as I would with downloading a file straight from a website, which is about 120 kb/s. However, this speed is not always achieved, even if I have a high number of seeds/peers. For example, I was able to get max speeds with an OpenOffice torrent, with 20 seeds and 30 peers; but I have another torrent with 350 seeds/1150 peers, and I can only get about 15 kb/s. Any advice to keep speed up other, 'slow' torrents? Does it have anything to do with the content of the torrent? Thanks very much.
Switeck
You're on Rogers Cable in Canada, right? They cripple BitTorrent so badly that download speeds seldom top 20 KB/sec and uploading is almost completely prevented except maybe to other Rogers customers. jewelisheaven
Indeed, LESS is MORE in your case. Try running in limited presence mode (How-To below post#2)... and cut your connections global and per-torrent to 10 or 20 * max_active ... OH also try limiting your queue to 1 active torrent and test with OOo to see if you notice a consistent difference.
