DutchDude
does not change the tracker stored in the .torrent file. When the .torrent file is loaded sometime in the future, the tracker info could be incorrent. Can you change this ?
splintax
Hmm..I imagine that the setting to have the altered tracker should remain in the App Data directory...I can't see a need for the .torrent to be edited too.
DutchDude
Change the tracker, remove the torrent from your running list.... then re-add it.... lol...
splintax
Yeah, that makes sense, because you deleted the torrent from µT (irrespective of whether you deleted the data).Closing and opening the program shouldn't affect it, which is what matters IMO. Why do you consider this a problem?
DutchDude
Well ... just for argument sake... lets say that the tracker you are using has changed it's address (dns name).... so you change it in the running torrent list (which means you dont have to re-download every single torrent you are downloading/seeding).... now imagine you have stopped seeding torrents because they have met their criteria (as you can see probably, finished torrents are removed from the list after you restart your client).... then you want to start seeding again... so you startup the .torrent file you allready have present in uTorrent folders, but alas... this doesn't work... you'll have to download the torrent again just to get the right tracker info...
