marko45
Hi, for a while now i have been unable to get any connections to trackers. I have forwarded a port and have a green light in the status bar but always have the red icon stating the tracker is offline.with this problem i am unable to download anything from a private tracker. I am using zone alarm for my firewall which i have been using all along. I did uninstall it to try to correct the problem but made no difference. What can i do to fix the problem. Thanks in advance
jewelisheaven
Well what's the tracker status say? Also please test with OpenOffice
marko45
Tracker status says the operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full but it is downloading.I am thinking it may be webroot spy sweeper. I did try closing it but it only closed from the system tray. I will have to wait till my current torrent finishes.
jewelisheaven
Well Buffer space failure is covered in the FAQ... check your Ctrl-P -> Advanced -> net.max_halfopen please. What is it. Change it to default (* denotes non-default). Are you also downloading through HTTP or FTP while torrenting?
marko45
it has been set to 50 half open ports since i applied the EvID patch. But i reset it back to 8 with no change. It appears to make no difference whether i am downloading anything else or not
Ultima
I did try closing it but it only closed from the system tray. I will have to wait till my current torrent finishes.Uninstalling is the only way to make sure it's not affecting µTorrent. Closing won't necessarily remove any hooks.
