HellspawnPersonEater
Alright here it goes, my neighbor is using their router and I am using mine to pick up their internet. A few days ago BT gave me the green light and my Dls capped at around 150kbs. The last 4 months or so I had no incoming connections, now it came back. I'm not sure what to do and my DLs are now capped at around 15kbs.... So, because of the whole router situation I cannot port forward (the port checker says I'm not forwarded). But how did I get the green check before? I got it when I changed from utorrent to bittorrent. Then it went away at an untriggerd time afterwords. So any advice would help me a lot....When I "Search" my external IP i get the other guys router witch i think is a WRTG45G?I have a Belkin45g+mimo. Ask anything else if more info is needed. jewelisheaven
Be happy you're getting any speed off hijacked connections When you don't have access to the POP (source of the internet) you have to make do with what you've got. It may also be that is all THEY get on their ISP... of which more seem to be applying shaping profiles.
HellspawnPersonEater
Yes! I am quite happy for getting FREE internet lol.......Well what puzzles me is how the port forwarded suddenly and then goes away a couple days later... Hmmm, I do believe that maby AVAST has something to do with it, maby preventing me from using UnUp <----or whatever... I will try uninstalling it.....Any more help would be appreciated
jewelisheaven
Very true... disable all unnecessary features (How-To post #2)... remove the UPnP NAT-PMP options... and temporarily removing all impediments on your computer software-wise is also a good course of action. Intermittent failures could just be the line, which is why I didn't mention it.
