Twixt
Hey, so i bought new computer stuff and a motherboard. Everything went fine until i started downloading, all i could download with was 250 kb/s with a 24 mbit line. Before i upgraded my computer i could download up to 500 kb/s on a 8mbit line. I got the most recent drivers for the network card (im using the network card that's on the motherboard)and my friend that lives in the same "house" has the same connection as me but still he downloads at about 2 Mb/s. How can there be such difference? Please help..

Switeck
Also make sure not to get confused about download/upload speeds as well as bits and bytes measurements.Running multiple file-sharing programs on the same internet connection (especially without reasonable limits) can result in VERY low speeds both down and up for all.
