ultramaximum
HiI found a problem with utorrent 1.7.7. Sometimes I can't surf with IE7, FF 2.0.0.12 until I restart the SO (vista 32bits).I'm using a cable-modem Thompson TCM315.Any idea? A modem problem? (no firmware updates for this modem)Thanks. Switeck
Maybe uTorrent's settings are too high for your connection, such as trying to upload too fast or too many (half-open?) connections at once?
ultramaximum
No, I always set upload speed to something that let me surf. This is not the problem.
DreadWingKnight
Upload speed isn't the only setting that can cripple your connection.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992
jewelisheaven
It may be as simple a solution as disabling DHT. Pay attention to post #2 in the link... it lists features you can disable safely without compromising your connectivity while lessening the load on the networking subsystem and hardware.
