Madmortigen
Hi, I'm new to µtorrent and I have a problem that bugs the hell out of me.I'm downloading a file that contains various episodes, it's around 40GB. Now, when I first downloaded the file to µtorrent it started "checking" it, I know that THIS is normal, ok, so after it had checked the file(which took a very long time...) it started the download and I was good to go.So, after a while I shutdown my computer and the next day I start it back up again after I came home from work and µtorrent started up, and the damn file was being checked AGAIN... I looked on the forums to see if this was normal and I found out I had to enable bt.graceful_shutdown, which I did. I let µtorrent finish it's "checking" and the download starts again...same thing as before, I turn off the computer and turn it back on again the next day(today) and µtorrent "checks" the file AGAIN.Now, is this normal and am I being stupid or is there something going on here?I hope you guys can helk me out.thanks
DreadWingKnight
What internet security software do you have installed?
Madmortigen
That would be McAfee SecurityCenter.
DreadWingKnight
Chances are, McAfee isn't letting uTorrent shut down properly.
Madmortigen
Ok, I'll see what I can do about that. Thanks for the info.EDIT:Ok, so I deleted McAfee and restarted my computer and I restarted AGAIN after that but my files still keep "checking"....it's kinda annoying because it takes the files a long time to check.Any ideas?
