heathmalc
Hello,I've been using Utorrent since June, and I had a question about my d/l speeds:After testing at dsl reports.com, I got the following results:download - 1575upload - 463*(* received this message: ISP upload compression detected, your upload speed may be inaccurate)The warning is probably due to the fact that I have my uploads maxed at 30kb/sI was wondering what sort of d/l speed I should expect....because I have never got anything near 1575Thank you!(PS: I forwarded the port and set-up a static IP)
jewelisheaven
Compression means that the ISP has a method for bursting data.512Kbps-> 64 KiBps, if you stick to 30, then that means you're probably xx/256 capable. 1.5Mbit down equates to about 150 KiBps in uT. What rates HAVE you gotten? Include data from OpenOffice torrents and Slackware torrents

jewelisheaven
Nope. Those results mean WHEN peers can pump that much data to you, you will accept it. Be sure your settings are conducive to effective sharing. UPLOAD / (SLOTS * TORRENTS) > 3 KiBps IMNSHO
