mlawrence
Hi all!I'm worried about ISP interference and would like to set my maximum upload speed to 15kb/sec when I am not seeding.Under [seed While] I have the defaults... 150% and (ignore). I have the check box checked to limit the speed to 15kb/sec. Scheduler is off.My ratio is currently 1.532 yet I am still seeding at 87kb/sec (which was auto generated in the speed guide). I'm worried about being shut down for overuse by Rogers (Saint John, NB) so I really want to control this. What have I set incorrectly?
jewelisheaven
Does the status bar or title bar show "L:" in your bandwidth text? L means local peers as in they are local to you. There is an option to restrict them to your set limits found in Ctrl-P -> BitTorrentTo be clear, under Ctrl-P -> Connection you have your Upload limit @ 15? mlawrence
"To be clear, under Ctrl-P -> Connection you have your Upload limit @ 15?"Oh wow, a week of troubleshooting and you fix it in 1 minute!'Automatic' was checked. To me, it should have been checked - I wanted everything to run automatically. Also "Global Bandwidth Limiting" sounded to me like it superseded everything else. Thanks very much for your help sir! Switeck
That automatic setting...really is only useful for early testing. Once you know how fast your connection is, then it's better to use manual settings.uTorrent's Scheduler is especially helpful if you can download/upload faster at certain times-of-day or days of the week than others.
