Carlos4x4
This is not a urgent change, but could you make that "Help -> uTorrent Webpage" menu command open a NEW windows in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape or an other Internet browser? When I'm viewing a webpage in IExplorer and select "Help -> uTorrent Webpage" in uTorrent I lost the page.Carlos

Carlos4x4
Thank Redler, but these is an attribute of Firefox, my idea is that uTorrent open a new windows, so this not depend of browser.
Redleer
for firefox that is useless when firefox already opens on new tab,new window or in existing one whatever way you want links to open on it.netscape have similar thing too so need for it either.so far i think only ie needs it and firefox, netscape doesnt need it. Carlos4x4
ok, but it is a property of Firefox not of uTorrent. For example, for Microsoft Internet Explorer, uTorrent don't open a new window, change the webpage of the already opened windows. The most of the program with link its own webpage in "Help - About us" menu, open a new windows without mattering what browser you use.
Redleer
it is property of firefox why should µt go around it and open on new window if user wants it to open in new tab? example i dont want things to open in new window i want it to open in new tab like it does now.only browser what you listed would need that open in new window is internet explorer get it?.and btw what browser you use?just looked other thread what i found using http://forum.utorrent.com/search.phpand there is: IE, Tools -> Internet Options, Advanced Tab, "reuse existing windows" change that and you have what you want. Carlos4x4
We have 2 concept.1) uTorrent must have a property to set if I wish open or not a new windows without mattering what browser I use.2) The browser that I use would have to be able to overwrite or ignore the request of utorrent to open a new window, Firefox has this ability, but IExplorer (Microsoft) and other browser hasn't this ability.I use Internet Explorer of Microsoft. In any case these is only one suggestion. Redleer
edited my previous reply. read it ie has same option as firefox too to open in new window. just harder to findmayby would be useful for ie but not for other browser.but if it starts to open in ie even if default browser isnt ie i will vote against it. 1c3d0g
Simple solution: don't use Internet Explorer.
splintax
The problem is with the web browser, not µT.
jroc
thanks redleer. I wanted it to open in a new window, too. (and I thought I knew my windows/IE setup inside & out......)
snowflake
Carlos4x4, I hope you do not request this feature for all the other programs that open their webpage in the same IE window.By the way, I think you can open a new IE window and click on the link afterwards. I used to do that when I used IE.
Ultima
Yeah that usually works, but if it were so easy to remember to do that every time, he wouldn't be requesting this (I know I would forget to do such a thing ;P)
