Jockos
Im using the preallocate option for downloading torrents and sometimes i dont want all the files. So i chose "Dont download" under the file tab for the files i dont want. So far everything is fine, the problem is that after i remove the torrent from the list ALL of the files still exist with full size. Mabye add a option to choose wheater or not to keep these files.Thanks//Jockos
Firon
Don't use pre-allocate, and make sure you use "Remove And Delete .torrent + Data" next time.
Jockos
How is that supposed to help me? I need to use pre allocate (yes i do) and if i use "Remove And Delete .torrent + Data" i will remove the data. Thats not what i want! I want to remove the pre allocated fake data, not the useful data!
foxyshadis
One option is to use sparse files (advanced options). The files will all still be there, and they'll say they're full size, but they won't actually take up any space. Only works on NTFS. It's not a great solution, since you still have phantom files, but at least they aren't taking up space.Problem is, what do you do if you've downloaded but later banned files? (Don't want to upload it or whatever.) Should it delete those too?

Firon
What do you need pre-allocate for? It doesn't reduce fragmentation. At all. µTorrent allocates the full file even with it off. And it's not like the size of a torrent is a mystery.
