tonightidream
No matter what options I set I cannot get decent speeds. Other people in Malaysia can get between80-150 kb/s, but they never say their settings. I have a 1.5mb/s conection. My average speed is 1350 kb/s download. My average speed is 380 kb/s upload. On uTorrent it always shows no incoming connections. I have Windows Firewall of and no antivirus programs running at all. I have also tried plugging my computer directly into my modem and I still get terriblw speeds. The average download speed is around 3-5 kb/s download. Max I have ever got is 19-21 kb/s download.I only use torrents that have more seeds than peers to try to keep it up. Back in the USA i downloadedat massive speeds. I could download 1gb over night no problem. Yet here it will take me a week.Below I have copied everything from my router settings, computer, and uTorrent. If you see any mistakesplease let me know what they are. I am not the greatest with computers so if you could write back in thisstyle for me.Example: Router - Wan > DNS: change to (whatever)Thank you whoever can help. jewelisheaven
Your WAN IP from the belkin is still a LAN IP... 192.168.x.x is reserved private. If you connect directly to your modem or through your router and try accessing http://192.168.1.1 what happens? That should bring up your modem screen. You will need to find out if you can forward ports through the modem. If not you should try checking if it has a bridge mode.Right now you're behind double-NAT, which means you don't have the forwarding rule set from the Internet (ISP side) to your computer. You're setting it from in the middle, which is already behind a NAT if that makes sense. It may be you don't get a real Internet IP Address on the WAN side of the modem. In that case you can't forward ports. And there is no way around that if after trying UPnP and NAT-PMP (In the Preferences) there is no success. Switeck
VERY bad settings!:Number of upload slots per torrent: 50Maximum number of active torrents (upload or download): 60Maximum number of active downloads: 63If you only have 380 kilobits/sec upload bandwidth (about 38-44 KiloBYTES/sec usable), then you need to use numbers more like this:Number of upload slots per torrent: 4Maximum number of active torrents (upload or download): 5Maximum number of active downloads: 3...and I'm being optimistic and assuming you can actually reach and sustain your upload speed max.If you can't, you probably should lower those numbers further.
