razorbackk Posted March 29, 2008 Report Share Posted March 29, 2008 Hi.. i have just downloaded utorrent and i've to say this just works great!I saw many people having trouble with down speed.Then i started a configuration for myself: the important thing to understand is the following.WITH THE HIGHTER SPEED YOU UPLOAD, U'LL GET THE HIGHTER DOWNLOAD SPEED. it's a sharing rule.Then set upload speed to 0 and same for download speed. jewelisheaven Posted March 29, 2008 Report Share Posted March 29, 2008 Setting UPLOAD to 0 aka "unlimited" is NOT a good idea at all.You need to set it @ a % of your maximum theoretical (from a speedtest) ... the http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php says 80%, others say 70% is better. pollyannepocket Posted March 30, 2008 Report Share Posted March 30, 2008 If you set you upload speed to 0 you will limit a lot of operations on your PC. I've tried it and it's not good. Do at jewelisheaven says and get a speed test done. I go with 70% of upload speed.Also setting the global and max connections per torrent to about 120 and 20 respectively, you'll get better speeds.
