cpugenius
It would really help if there was a way to configure how many torrents can hash check at the same time. I have several torrents that, when checking, do not utilize the full speed. By having them check multiple torrents, we could utilize all the speed possible and resume our downloads faster. jewelisheaven
Multiple seeking would likely DECREASE throughput not increase it. How fast is it checking? You can multiply pieces per second (Speed Tab, Disk Statistics) * piecesize or use Process Explorer's process properties view to find out.
Firon
Hard drives check fastest with only one going at a time.If you can't go any faster, it's because the disk is slow or the files are fragmented.
Switeck
It might be faster to be checking multiple hard drives at once, just 1 torrent PER hard drive. But that'd be hard to program uTorrent to do, and uTorrent wouldn't be able to tell if different drive letters are really different physical drives. cpugenius
Yea... I didn't think about that. I store my files on an external network drive, but the drive has a feature that shows the percentage of disk access. Whenever checking, it shows about 50% (give or take), but when I simply do a file transfer, it transfers at full speed.
