gbsachs Posted April 1, 2008 Report Share Posted April 1, 2008 Hi I have a serious problem.I have windows xp. u torrent 1.7.7.I recently decided to put all my downloas in different folders. after i moved them to these different folders i wasnt able to play them anymore or even delete them!this is the error i get from media player when i try to play them:"Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct."when i try to delete i get:"cannot delete... acces is denied. make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not corrently in use."Please help me I lost all my filesCheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They are simply locked. You can get Process Explorer from http://www.sysinternals.com . Now maybe u can tell me what the hell is it? what am i suppose to do with cause i dont understand anything. it looks easier to difuse an attomb bomb.What i mean when i said that i lost my files is that i just cant do anything with them, move them, play them or delete them, hence to me they lost (and i dont want to delete them, only if i cant watch them). This only happened to me with u torrent. GTHK Posted April 3, 2008 Report Share Posted April 3, 2008 Some of the stuff in µT I don't recognize as being proper, but you'll need to wait for jewelisheavens judgment on that, he's well versed in that regard. I do know that Nero Scout is known to cause file accessing problems, if it's in "My Computer" you should be able to right-click and disable it, restart and see if that fixes your problem, if not, with Nero Scout disabled make a new Process Explorer list just like last time. GTHK Posted April 3, 2008 Report Share Posted April 3, 2008 Injecting means adding code to the program, some programs are retarded and add code, and this code has bugs in it, and since the buggy code was added to µT, it causes bugs in µT. Everything that is injected should be removed, or if available, put on an ignore/exclusions list if it will prevent them from injecting code. Even if a piece of software wasn't bugging up µT before it could bug it up later. Also, if that Panda thing failed to remove properly, try installing the latest version and then uninstalling it, if that doesn't work, Google may provide clues on removing it.You can disable programs on startup by Start > Run > msconfig > Startup tab > uncheck crap here, including the Panda thing. When it happens, in Process Explorer, press Ctrl+F and type part or all of the files name in it, it'll tell you what programs are using that file.
