Mithos
I'm a complete idiot with understanding how computers actually work, but...(basically, I downloaded something that doesn't work in the way it should do and there were one or two crashes while downloading) would a crash do any harm to the download? Is it possible that a crash could corrupt the file in any way, or does uTorrent check/fix anything that could be screwed up perfectly? Thanks for your time
GTHK
A crash can damage a file being written to, and normally a file will be checked after a crash. You can re-check a file in µT by right clicking it and pressing Force Re-Check, any pieces that fail are removed, and can be re-downloaded if the file is still available. jewelisheaven
When you either stop, right click, force recheck, or uT automatically rechecked files after a crash/improper shutdown additionally ALL in-progress data is dropped.

GTHK
You should figure out what's crashing it and fix it.

jewelisheaven
Don't have active torrents when it crashes. To figure out what is crashing try not running any torrents. Let uT sit, can you provide either of the logfiles mentioned http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992 in the thread here?
