Switeck Posted April 6, 2008 Report Share Posted April 6, 2008 xx/256k in Speed Guide (CTRL+G) inside uTorrent is the closest generic settings.But "best settings" requires more information on your part.Trying to download nearly dead torrents works BEST with different settings than torrents that have 1,000+ peers and seeds. Switeck Posted April 9, 2008 Report Share Posted April 9, 2008 Try allowing 120 global connections and 100 connections per torrent...upload speed max of 20-25 KB/sec (play around with that value to see what seems to work best).upload slots set to 5 per torrent.Only run 1 torrent at a time with these settings...or you'll likely see a big download speed hit, as well as cause other people to get lower download speeds.
