subyroo
Can anybody tell me how do you maintain your share ratio if you have had to reformat and re-install your uTorrent software?Or is it a case of it's lost forever and a day and you have start over again? Switeck
I think it's lost. But it doesn't matter, the ratio is only a number recorded by uTorrent.Whatever websites tracked your ratio there...still do.And they recorded your ratio separately from uTorrent. osm0sis
if it isn't an emergency reformat you can just save your settings.dat from your utorrent settings folder (%AppData%\uTorrent by default) and replace it once you've redownloaded the exe
subyroo
Thankyou Osmosis, I've backed it up and will make it part of my backup routine from here on in.
jewelisheaven
To save the status of your torrents in uT you will also want to include resume.dat and/or resume.dat.old in your backup. If you wish to keep track of rss history, include the same for rss.dat / rss.dat.old I rar-compress mine which packs it up to 1/8- 1/10th the size.
