ponchosuperstar
Hey folks-Here's the facts:I've just moved to a new apartment building. It has free internet access, I just plug my ethernet cable right into the wall, which is attached to a buildingwide network run by Time Warner. However, whenever I open any BitTorrent program (and I prefer uTorrent), my downloads won't start AND my browser loading slows to either a crawl or a problem loading page screen. I never am able to connect to any seeds or peers, but im still wondering whether the network has some kind of throttled incoming traffic limiting thing. Obviously i'm not very good at speaking technically here but I can generally work my way around a computer and if theres any way I can get around this, I would appreciate your help.Thank you! jewelisheaven
Ahhhh, well then you'll want to go through http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php again and check if you can use the router with UPnP / NAT-PMP... whatever the building has After that you can follow through How-To for Troubleshooting to see if this procedure helps.
