What the heck did I do wrong?

I have read and re-read everything in these forums and cannot get utorrent working correctly anymore.

I used to get decent download speeds, (varied from 30 to 100 kB/s) but got greedy and wanted to boost speeds so tried tweaking following various guides on the internet. Nothing really worked, so I reversed everything back to normal... or at least I thought.... Now I never get a green triangle.. It always stays yellow. I can upload to my max, but never get download speeds any greater than 2 or 3 kB/s

I connected my computer directly to the cable modem, so not going through a router. All settings seem to be in line with what is recommended here.

I cannot come up with a solution... so seeking help here.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you changed windows... I don't know what to say. However if you're not sure you changed everything back in uT settings, you can simply remove/rename settings.dat and settings.dat.old from http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Where_are_the_settings_and_.torrent_files_stored.3F to start fresh.

As far as downloading I hope you tried one of the test torrents from the http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php to see if you still can get 1 Mbit download speeds.
