Firon
Please don't type with stupid caps.- Refrain from posting messages MOSTLY CAPITALized, Needlessly Capitalizing Each Word, or using |_337 5|>34|<.Delete settings.dat, settings.dat.old, resume.dat, and resume.dat.old from %AppData%\uTorrent and try again. (Read the FAQ if you don't know what %AppData% is)

No. I'm going to work on the assumption that it was the "uTorrent.exe has caused a problem and needs to be shut down, sorry for the inconvenience" Windows dialog with "Send Error Report" or don't buttons.where are these files located?come on, did you even read his whole post? :|sigh.. sure you haven't got any spyware/crapware on your machine? i suggest a scan with ad-aware and any other scanners you happen to have lying around... Firon
It's a generic error message. Do you have any of the software in that list? You should also find a bunch of .dmp files in the same folder as utorrent.exe, upload them somewhere and link here. Relayerman
I have the exact same problem and error msg: 'uTorrent has crashed, and uTorrent will now restart. A crash dump has been saved in... Do you want to submit this dump to the developers?'utorrent is 'not responding' at this point so sending the dump is not an option. I've read teh FAQ twice, disabled firewall, disabled DHT, tried versions 1.7 thru 1.3, checked to make sure my work VPN was disabled and no services running, made sure the port was forwarded, not using UPnP so disabled that, disabled antivirus realtime scan. Not running anything else.uTorrent will start to download a torrent and does so for about 30 seconds and BAM! Crashes every time. Running Pentium 4 2ghz w/1gig RAM. Only thing that I can find that may be of some use is that I'm not using UDP (not installed that I can find). Other torrent clients work (to some degree) and BitComet was my choice, but the private tracker I use most won't allow BitComet. Want to get uTorrent working, but can't find that magic antidote.Where can the dump be sent to, if anyone?Relayerman

Relayerman
Its not just V-Com's System Suite. V-Com's Fixit Pro 6 does the same thing. This was verified by Ludwig. Report and dump have been sent to V-Com. Fixit crashes IBM's OnDemand PC client software as well and this has also been reported. It think it all has something to do with the Auto-Email scanner module and its related DLLs.steve w
