diegocmr Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Hello pplevery torrent I use (including the OpenOffice one) has terrible (around 4kBps) U/L speeds. My ISP allows me 300kbps u/l speed, uTorrent is configures with 26kBps max u/l speed to 4 peers per torrent. NAT is OK, i've port-forwarded port 6666, which is not blacklisted. This problem happens with all uTorrent versions.Any ideas?
Firon Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 OO is a download test, not an upload test. You can't get good upload speeds on torrents with high SLRs. (seed-leecher ratio)
Switeck Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Have you done web searches (using Google or something similar) to verify that your ISP isn't throttling BitTorrent?...Some ISPs say they aren't, but lots of people have evidence that says otherwise.
diegocmr Posted December 22, 2005 Author Report Posted December 22, 2005 OMG... it seems they're doing it...
Switeck Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Your ISP may allow faster uploads to those on the same ISP as you -- or at least the same 'branch' of the ISP.So a test upload to a friend across town may work fine, but a test upload to someone in another country will be crippled.
diegocmr Posted December 22, 2005 Author Report Posted December 22, 2005 Yeah... the ISP said it's not their fault...anyway, i'll try some new settings... any ideas for settings that max u/l speed?
