jewelisheaven Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 Check your running list of programs against http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_softwareCommon causes are Google Desktop, Nero Scout (bundled with all Nero 7 and 8), and Roxio software (EZ CD Creator my tookus)If that doesn't help, check out Process Explorer from http://sysinternals.com , use Find (Ctrl-F) and search for the file you're trying to download... You may need to START the torrent a few times for it to show up. If that doesn't show what is open, close the Find dialog, switch to DLL mode (Ctrl-D) click utorrent.exe and save that list to a text file. Then paste it into a post here please. windchimes Posted April 19, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 19, 2008 Heyy Jewelisheaven, yeah I am dealing with Mr.Watson too.....I can't access a downloaded torrent folder..saying windows explorer has encountered a problem and need to close down..So stopped seeding it and moved to another location..And still I can't access it..?? Any clue how to access it?By the way, if Bit Defender was the problem here then how can I access all the other torrents but not this particular one..?? jewelisheaven Posted April 19, 2008 Report Share Posted April 19, 2008 If you're having troubles with explorer it sounds like your shmedia.dll is malfunctional with regard to videos in that folder. This is covered in http://utorrent.com/faq.php If that's not the case try what I said before.. use Process Explorer, Ctrl-F the file you're getting this on, and continually "search" just prior to it erroring out.
