Wireless Desktop Forwarding Question

I have a desktop and I've got wireless internet that comes in through a modem plugged into the desktop.

I've done all the setup procedures and have download rates no bigger than 20kb/s.

In uttorent, it has the yellow diamond on the status bar and when I check the port, it says it's not forwarding.

I can't find any info about my wireless modem online.

I just wondering if it's possible to set this sort of configuration up, or do I just need to get cable or dsl?

So uh... do you mean you're using a wireless connection, and not just WiFi? If so, then therein lies your problem -- wireless internet providers rarely give their customers real WAN IP addresses, so you normally can't forward ports.
