DWKnight references this blog post when talking about DHT http://torrenthelp.depthstrike.com/2007/11/utorrent-dht-troubleshooting.html but that's unrelated to your title.

Have you gone through http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992 and checked to see if http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ torrents download? If there's red torrent status icons, what is the Tracker Status in the General tab say?

There is nothing in the tracker status. Just a red bar. At the top it says there are 60 seeds.

When I download a torrent, firefox says download complete. but i can not find the .torrent file. it should be on my desktop. I did a search and could not find it.

Thanks for replying

When you OPEN a torrent it does not save it anywhere. The browser downloads it to %TEMP% and then tells uT to load it, thereby copying it to uT's torrent storage folder (%APPDATA%\uTorrent unless you override it in Ctrl-P -> Other )

If you want it to save it to the desktop, select "Save as" not "open With" in the browser. Then you can take the torrent yourself and load it into uT.

So back to OpenOffice. You clicked the site link. You chose the recent torrent to download, and it said OK, and downloaded to your computer putting OOo_2.4.0_Win32Intel_install_en-US.exe in your torrent list yes? If you click on it, there WILL BE something in "Tracker Status" ESPECIALLY since the icon is red meaning there is a tracker communication error.

I tried this both ways. It did not work. I already had 2 files in UT.

I already uninstalled UT and deleted what it had in APP DATA before I saw this.
