minigee
ive found that whenever i use utorrent, my wireless router seems to stop transmitting. it comes back on again but keeps doing it. this never happens when i am not using utorrent, so im assuming that this is the problem. i was wondering if anyone could help.Thanks. Recall
Try this:Go to advanced preferences, set max half open connections to 2 ( if you are using vista ) and let me know if it helps.
Ultima
net.max_halfopen isn't the only possible culprit, and isn't always the likeliest one either (in my experience, it's more often been DHT or improper Speed Guide settings that cause these problems). The router dying is generally a sign of router overload, which doesn't normally occur because of a high number of halfopen connections (but because of a high number of connections, overall). There are plenty of other possible suggestions, most/all of which are discussed in the links in Switeck's signature (yes, net.max_halfopen included). It would be wiser for him to stick to that guide.
