aimeewilbury
Ever since I started torrenting with uTorrent, my browser (FireFox) seems to be running slower in loading of pages. I have Windows XP. Is this normal, and if so, is there any way to prevent it without pausing or limiting downloads? Thank.p.s. I'm behind a router although I'm not sure which type. Ultima
Check the first link in my signature regarding interrupted connections. If nothing there helps, provide the requested information. Thanks!
jewelisheaven
Lower your connection settings. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992 just about covers it. If your current settings Ctrl-P -> BitTorrent are 200 per torrent, lower that to 200 total. ... start by dividing those values in half... then half again. Also, if you currently see Encryption -> Disabled, change that to Enabled/Forced. If you changed Ctrl-P -> Advanced -> net.max_halfopen, press RESET.
