someusername
I'm getting the /announce?hash_key=... on HTTP GET,blocked by the ISP.So now I'm thinking in terms of proxys. What would you suggest? Putty/OpenSSH or SOCKS5 or something else? Unless you have another workaround that is.
Firon
You probably need an encrypted proxy, be it an SSH proxy or a VPN. SOCKS is not encrypted, though it might be possible to use it if your ISP's filters are dumb.
someusername
Which one then? Putty and OpenSSH through a linux box? Or would this: http://thinkhole.org/wp/2006/03/28/ipcop-openvpn-howto/ work well? Do you have any recommendations? Also, I was thinking I could use privoxy to proxy that specific request and direct µTorrent towards localhost, which has a rule saying that any similar requests should go to a web proxy (which I posted in my other thread)They are sending three TCP commands: RST, whenever I request that string, so I could simply base64 encode it instead to the web proxy; is my idea... Firon
Which one you do is your choice, but both of them obviously need to be done with a computer lying outside of your ISP.
