plumber
I accidentally installed IPv6 Toredo by clicking on it in the preferences. Is this a problem? it installed to my cpu. Did I mess up??? how do i uninstall it???
Ultima
It should be fine... but if you really want to get rid of IPv6:Start > Run > cmd /k netsh interface ipv6 uninstallOr if you want to simply disable Teredo:Start > Run > cmd /k netsh interface ipv6 set teredo disabled
GTHK
To disable Teredo without uninstalling IPv6:Start > Run > cmd /k netsh interface ipv6 set teredo disabledDo both to undo the changes completely, though really, there shouldn't be a problem.Edit: You edited! Ultima
Because I edited it before anyone replied or saw the post, so I didn't think I'd need to set the edited tag visible. Meh.
jewelisheaven
To answer the questions... No, Teredo doesn't mess anything up. It's a way to tunnel IPv6 traffic over IPv4... for those not on IPv6 aware networks. Supposedly it'll roll out much more now that ROOT servers run IPv6 aware.... time will tell
Ultima
Or more concisely...It should be fine...xD

biatche
sorry to bring an old topic back alive, ive encountered something weird in my vmware pc and a laptop platform.... after installing ipv6 (well i used netsh script, didnt test manual)..... after installing that, pc bootup is VERY slow., that is, when it reaches the loading startup applications part, like registry startup and start menu startup, it stalls for a good 20 seconds minimum.anyone got any idea wahts going on? GTHK
Try uninstalling it and see what happens. My computer went slow and some other stuff when I used Teredo enterprise mode (µTorrents original(?) mode for installing Teredo), client mode fixed it. After a system re-install it didn't have an effect anymore, could be anti-virus/firewall mucking about.Uninstall commands:netsh interface ipv6 set teredo disablenetsh interface ipv6 uninstallInstall commands (client):netsh interface ipv6 installnetsh interface ipv6 set teredo clientInstall commands (enterprise client, for "Error: client is in a managed network"):netsh interface ipv6 installnetsh interface ipv6 set teredo enterpriseclient
biatche
Ah, it's very likely due to that enterpriseclient part then, ill try just client.

GTHK
jembob's posts display some difficulty with computers. Saying that you don't have run, then saying that you do via the same process that you claimed didn't work, suggests either poor eye sight or multiple computers being used (Vista doesn't have a RUN button, I think typing it in works :/). poof
I clicked on the "install ipv6" button but nothing happened. How do i know if it worked? Will this effect the rest of my internet or is this utorrent specific?I also installed IPv6 (xp pro) on my LAN in my network connections (Lan->install->protocol->ipv6), so is this utorrent thing even necessary?
