piercedb0i
I get that everytime I try to add a torrent. I've been looking for quite a while for a fix. I'm on Vista Premium, UTorrent 1.8 Beta but I've had the same problem on other versions, theres 50gb left on my hard drive NTFS formatted. The file is a whopping 700mb. I have Trend Micro PC Cillin Internet Security 14. I've closed Trend Micro rebooted with it disabled, cleared out my processes. It seems NOTHING works. I'm about to just give up even trying. The error pops up in UTorrent and theres only "OK" that I can click.
DreadWingKnight
You're trying to open a 700mb file with uTorrent?Does the problem persist with OpenOffice Torrents?
jewelisheaven
uT doesn't open the data, Windows does. If you "Open Containing Folder" does the file have a uT icon for it? If so you need to re-set associations with your media player. Whatever you normally use to watch should have an option "set file associations"...Also, yeah if it is the torrent you're trying to open but get that, check DWKnight's suggestion. Are you using any other security software? Or does PCCillin have all firewall AV in one?
piercedb0i
Maybe it's the fact that I haven't slept... but I'm trying to upload a new torrent. I can download no problem. As soon as I try to upload a new torrent I get that damn error. OH and to answer your question it's basically an all in one program.
jewelisheaven
Create a torrent with Ctrl-N... Upload it with your browser to the site you want to host the torrent. There's a procedure for it @ http://utorrent.com/torrent.php
piercedb0i
^ Thanks I have no idea how I missed that! Ah well it looks quite promising, but now I need to get some shut eye. I'll post back later on.
