Help needed - Nat Error, two routers in series

Hi,

I am getting NAT error using uTorrent. As a result download and upload are very slow. I have read all the info on the PortForward site, but seem to do something wrong. Can you please help??

I have the following configuration:

Provider: Speedlinq.nl

Speedtouch 510i (ext IP 62.100.19.208, int IP 10.0.0.138)

Dell True Mobile 2300 (ext IP 10.0.0.10, int IP 192.168.2.1)

Dell Inspiron 5160 (int. IP 192.168.2.101)

I have made the IP on the Inspiron static as described on the PortForward site.

The Speedtouch is configured as following:

NAPT Entries, Inside address: 192.168.2.1:32459,

Outside address: unspecified:32459, Protection: tcp.

The Dell True Mobile 2300 is configured as following:

Enable DHCP Server Functions,

IP Address Pool Range From 192.168.2.101 To 192.168.2.254.

IP Adress Reservations 192.168.2.101, MAC adress 00:10:C6:32:0F:1B.

Port Forward settings:

Incoming ports 32459-32459, Destination IP address 192.168.2.101, Destination Port 32459 : 32459, type TCP.

uTorrent is configured as following:

Port used for incomming connections 32459

unchecked box for UnP port mapping

I have disabled all the firewalls.

I have carried out a user specified port probe via Shields UP!! (http://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1dkyd2) and achieved a perfect "TruStealth" rating. Nice for security reasons, but not what I want in this case.

Bypass one router and see if you still get the network error is you do not, then port forwarding is either not done right, or not working right, set 1 router to use dmz for your/the second routers address and set a static dhcp address to the dmz address.

Example router1 connected to the cable/dsl : login configure it to use static dhcp and set to 192.168.0.1 configure dmz to 192.168.0.1 .. router2 connected to router for internet: port forward xxxx.

1) You never mentioned if the checkbox for "Randomize port each time µTorrent starts" is checked or not.

2) Is the True Mobile router static to the Speedtouch router.

3) Why is your Inspiron using an IP in the DHCP pool if it is static? Or is the router able to do static DHCP by keeping a single IP for only one MAC address?

4) If you use DHT, are you also opening up the UDP for the same port as TCP?

The problem is solved! I use the Dell True mobile as a WAP and switch instead.

For anyone that has the same problem, there is a very good guide for instructions on how to a use a second router as a Switch/Hub/WAP on the PortForward website:

After this I have checked what the Laptops Ip address was. As it is getting its address from the speedtouch it is 10.0.0.101.

I have changed the entries on the speedtouch as following:

Inside address: Laptop's Ip address

Inside port: 32459

Outside address: 0.0.0.0

Outside port: Same as inside port
