GTHK
Using any Internet security software or a router?
Jakenbake89
I use a router but i did the whole 6881-6889 port thing and checked it so its all clear and my security software is Iolo but i also allowed it (w/out prompt) to connect to the internet ect... On top of all that im not so computer savy so this has been a long process... arg.... and i use vista so Utorrent usually stops responding if im in options for too long... GTHK
You just need to forward one port, your listening port as listed in the speed guide (Ctrl+G). Can you try uninstalling Iolo as a test? I've heard it screws things up.
Jakenbake89
I shut down iolo and restarted utorrent and still saying "DHT: waiting to login" omg i dont get this... oh yeah and i am just using one port...
GTHK
Shutting down usually doesn't remove the roots of Internet security crap, you need to uninstall to be sure.
Jakenbake89
yeah but it's an internet direct thing so i dont actually have the CD to reinstall it hence it be a big waste of money... whats this open office thing? maybe that would help
GTHK
You can't redownload it? Do you still have your license information still? Also, if you have a router, you generally don't need a software firewall as long as you keep your computer free of viruses. Routers take care of the incoming crap, have an anti-virus take care of the outgoing crap.
