jbodyconnection Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Hi GuysI am currently having problems with linksys wired router using port forwarding every time I try to port forward the router kicks me off and restarts the router how can I fix this problem? and yes I got static ip address from my isp.
GTHK Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Well first, you don't need a static IPA from your ISP, you set a static IPA in your private network, second, what model Linksys? Some have firmware issues and automatically reboot with lots of connections.
jbodyconnection Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 its BEFSR41 v4 and I tried the updating firmware still kicks me off.
GTHK Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Are you saying trying to port forward is kicking you off, or is the router failing under load? If it's the second, you need to reduce load. Disabling the SPI firewall if it has one might work, otherwise: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992#p258231
Firon Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 You need to significantly reduce the connections and stuff on that router.
