Flac torrent
Im regularly on an other forum. On this forum i was having connection problems together with speed problems. Someone put a little tutorial on how to tweak uTorrent for better speeds. So i did what was advised step by step, changing the listen port the speeds and the preferences advanced bit and changed some of the values in there. Now i can't seem to seed,my uTorrent ratio is quite a good one and i don't want to become a leecher. When you go into queuing and there's a box that says seed ratio,to start with mine was 150% the tutorial suggested 100%.Would that make the difference? jewelisheaven
.. what advanced bits? Well depends, if you only use the queue, yes. The default queue options means in the torrent properties on add these values are changed to seed until 1.5 ratio UPLOAD to download and seed for 90 minutes at minimum. If you can't seed... check your speeds while not downloading and while downloading. Does the seeding affect your donwload?
Flac torrent
No when you go into preferences, you've got General,Downloads, connection,BitTorrent,Queuing,Scheduler,Other then at the bottom is advanced,if you look to the top right it says warning do not modify. Well i modified it and im getting some pretty collossal speeds nearly 800kB/s.Problem is the 1st tab with all the info on it says tracker has timed out as soon as the downloads over. Yet according to the box with my upload speed im still uploading.Anyone know if anybodys getting anything from me when tracker's timed out? jewelisheaven
err... There are ways other than through trackers to get/send peer information. So, if you're uploading to people in Peers tab, the tracker is irrelevant though you should investigate why the tracker is offline. Ultima's Troubleshooting sticky just about covers general possibilities http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992I know Advanced options are only for those who know what they're doing... so what did you change? Flac torrent
Several values were changed the one that comes to mind is the net max half open the value was 50 it's now 66,the listen port was changed on the connections tab. It's considerably faster i almost got 800kB/s.P.S. Just perhaps in the profile section it'd be a good idea to have the http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/8185/hypnotoadoz2px3um7.th.gif' alt='hypnotoadoz2px3um7.th.gif'>
jewelisheaven
The ONLY thing increasing half-open can do is increase the speed your rate increases (faster delta due to increases connection attempts per second). This is more trouble than it's worth for most people because it ALSO increases instability in many hardware devices.Second: irrelevant to the task at hand, and your picture doesn't exist as proven from the link. 1) the link in the post proves the GIF is too small to MAKE a thumbnail, and your SIGnature is incorrectly formatted.text works as does but ... where's the ? Notice how in most imageshack posts the .th is appended to the picture location? In your case the .th file does not exist.. that or it can't decode between CAPS and caps..... not really sure
