Druss
I recently had my mobo changed because the old one was faulty, but still under guarantee. uTorrent always worked fine. I've now got a P4M900T-M2 mobo and every time I install uTorrent v1.77 my comp freezes - sometimes for a second or two (and this will happen repeatedly) and sometimes it's a big freeze requiring a reboot.I've had a look at the faq and I don't use avast. In fact, the programs I use are the same now as they were before I changed mobo.Help please.
jewelisheaven
Could be network card drivers. Is this one onboard? Was the old one onboard? Are you trying to do wireless? IS it an RALink product?

Firon
Are your IDE/SATA controllers set to UDMA6?
Druss
i'm using a different hard drive with a fresh install of xp and everything's fine so I think it's my other hard drive. I suspected utorrent because the freezing started when I installed uTorrent. Thanks for all the help and will be back if the problems come back.Cheers all. GTHK
Did you check the controllers though? Make sure they are NOT PIO, a fresh install of Windows can start with that mode by default. Controllers are listed in the device manager (Windows Key + Pause/Break > Hardware tab > Device Manager).
