µTorrent 1.3.2-beta build 401

Build 376 (Win98)

Editing of existing feeds/favorites strings - looks fine. great !

Some small bugs:

16. Label - favorites-> label-pull-down list shows the word "test" and not a selection of labels you entered...

17. when you enter the "releases" tab - it does not show the first "(all)" list-item but the next/second one - your first RSS feed.

18. also - last columns' sorting is not being saved/remembered for next activation of RSS config.

Well, users like first to try out a new client, so I don't like this idea. But - you CAN probably give an option to do so, that will default to disabled.

That's why it would have to be no special extension, rather than .!ut. Bitcomet can go from .avi.bc!->.avi no problem without a hashcheck or anything, it recognizes the renamed files. I don't have experience with any others that rename files, but I'd imagine the same is true.

Selective download doesn't seem to work in uTorrent 1.31-beta build376...

No matter what I do, uTorrent downloads and keeps all the files.

My settings:

* Pre-allocate disk space - DISABLED

* diskio.use_partfile - TRUE

also tried to enable diskio.sparse_files or bt.compact_allocation but with no results.

anyone else having this problem?

I was wondering if you can add an option where we can filter feature in the RSS kind of like the one found in azureus plug-in. I usually download anime with it and different anime fan-sub groups release the same anime title so I want to be able to filter out the groups that I not want.

In addition, maybe a feature where it will allow us to set the priority of the torrent when added or make it "forced" downloads, I hope I am not asking too much. Thanks =)

**update**

Interesting bug or is it?

For some reason in order for the RSS filter to work there HAS to be a "space" before the title of the torrent.

Like for example, the anime that I want to download every week is "Cluster Edge" so when I add it to my favorites in order for it to work I have to add it like this: " Cluster Edge" **without the quotes.

The same thing happens when I add a torrent to favorites it automatically adds a "space" before the torrent title. Small bug I assume =)

Thanks for the RSS-Christmas present, ludde

I seem to have a problem tho:

Did anybody else notice µTorrent ignoring parts of the translation file (.lang.txt)?

since build374 I see the following behaviour: some lines in the lang.txt file are simply ignored

Fore example:

*******

List of unknown strings in the language file:

*******

RSS Feeds [Note: Each line is in Name|URL format]

...

*******

List of strings not found in the language file:

*******

RSS Feeds [Note: Each line is in Name|URL format]

plus the log file now complains about

Items like List1 List2 and Tab1 which are place holders (?) but not readable text in the GUI

Since some of the translated strings are mentioned in the "List of unknown strings" I suspect some internal counter skipped something, so that the sequence "english string, translated string, empty line" is interrupted

I even tried to have the program generate a table of strings bi giving it an empty .lang.txt (thus every string would be listed as missing)

I worked it through several hours last night and again this morning

but I can't get that puppy to cooperate

Merry Christmas

-DG

Looks OK here.

Edit:

Again - it does seem to save the correct file, BUT - after a while - stopps DL with "error: the data is invalid"

rafi, I did some more testing...

when I use these settings, selective download works fine:

* New torrents start in stopped mode - CHECKED

* Put new downloads in... - CHECKED

* diskio.sparse_files - TRUE

* diskio.use_partfile - TRUE

ut01.png.xs.jpg ut02.png.xs.jpg

but when I use the new "Bitcomet style Torrent Add dialog" (by unchecking Put new downloads in) the part file is not created and all files are downloaded and kept, no matter what I choose...

OK, let see... I have it set to :

* New torrents start in stopped mode - CHECKED

* Put new downloads in - CHECKED

* diskio.sparse_files - FALSE

* diskio.use_partfile - TRUE

And it select the file fine... but fails to DL it after a while ... :(

What is this 'sparse_files' anyway ?...

I AM using the new !ut extension feature , so - I'll try to cancel it and try again.

Edit:

OK, it looks fine now (win !ut ext) on another torrent. Maybe a bug that is related to your settings (that are new in this version...)

Hi thanks for the new feature ...

Two things is missing though:

- Beeing able to send a cookie with the request, for private trackers

- Having a Regular Expression filter, I want to be able to make powerfull filtering and will use RegEx to achieve that.

Here is my RegEx rules:

No weak codec (FAIL) : [ .-](3gp|h26)[ .-]

No high resolution (FAIL) : [ .-](HR|HQ|720p)[ .-]

Stargate Atlantis (PASS) : Stargate.Atlantis.+S?0?2{1,2}(E|x)\d{1,2}.HDTV.?

The Stargate Atlantis one will only take one that is named Like 02x01 or 2x1 or 2x01 or S02E01, etc... that contain the word HDTV.

That way I make sure I don't get a wrong show since the RSS should not download the same show twice, I want to make sure to get the right one.

One small thing. When I upgraded from 1.3 all the # fields were really odd numbers (like they were multiplied by 3 or 4, and everything had gaps, i.e. non sequential with values way higher than the number of torrents loaded). When I reordered, they snapped back to normalcy...

Is compact_allocation fixed?

BTW: The double click file open is so very convenient!

Looks great! Merry Christmas!

Hi,

I've tried the build 377 today, and everything seems to work properly (just haven't try the RSS options).

Just a little problem while tryin to translate this one...

Everything seems to be correct but these strings are not recognized :

*******

List of unknown strings in the language file:

*******

RSS Feeds [Note: Each line is in Name|URL format]

Download Complete|%s has finished downloading.

New Download from RSS|%s has started downloading.

New version|A new version of µTorrent is now available!

!Torrent Error|File: %s\n%s

*******

List of strings not found in the language file:

*******

RSS Feeds [Note: Each line is in Name|URL format]

Download Complete|%s has finished downloading.

New Download from RSS|%s has started downloading.

New version|A new version of µTorrent is now available!

!Torrent Error|File: %s\n%s

So I don't really know where's the problem

Keep the good work mates

Yass

I thought they're there when you right click the list...?

Edit: I just decided to test the beta... One little thing I noticed (purely cosmetic) is that if the selection listbox has a vertical scroll, it will have a horizontal scroll as well because the column widths don't compensate for the vertical scroll. Nothing major (and I'm not sure if it was mentioned already -- just a quick observation). Otherwise, looking nice so far =]
