Firon
Check the Device Manager. Look at your IDE and SATA controller properties and make sure the current transfer mode is NOT set to PIO.

Ultima
a) get HijackThis from trendsecure.com, run it, view the log, and post the contents here get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, Ctrl+D (to show the lower DLL pane), select the µTorrent process from the list, Ctrl+S (and save the list somewhere you'll find easily -- like the Desktop), then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here
Firon
It'd be better if you just took screenshots of the advanced settings from each of your controllers.

hermanm
If you go to Task Manager, are any processes using CPU consistently - like AntiVirus? Other threads have mentioned that the AntiVirus is constantly checking the torrent contents. µTorrent is always updating the files, so the AntiVirus is always checking it. Aflac
Hmm what should i do then? its the only antivirus i have and i paid for it lol
jewelisheaven
If you can turn off that vet redir... it may also be some special "feature" the firewall does like auto-DNS the connections it tracks. The way to test if it IS your firewall... uninstall the portions you suspect to be at fault, or uninstall the whole kaboodle. If the problem does not reappear after a lengthy test time (i.e. you get lag every minute for 5 seconds, use the computer constantly for 2-3 hours.) you can safely presume some part of the CA suite is at fault. Remember if you only paid for the antivirus, run that. If possible you can also try reinstalling it piece by piece... a search for capfsem.exe may show you more on this forum at least :/ What to do if it is your program you bought... you contact support (phone is more instant, but email works too as you're able to include more information AND URLs) include any relevant account numbers and ask them what you need to provide them to help them isolate the problem. Firon
I'd try ditching the firewall part first, and only then try removing the antivirus.Besides, if it doesn't solve it, you can easily reinstall both.
