hi,

I have a problem , i can browse the internet . but the problem is i can use bittorrent , but the speed is very slow because of these atm oam tests failed.

i have a router and a 1mbit line.

>> Testing Ethernet LAN connection ...

PASS

>> Testing ADSL Synchronization .

PASS

>> Testing ATM OAM segment ping ...

FAIL

>> Testing ATM OAM end to end ping ...

FAIL

>> Ping Primary Domain Name Server .

PASS

>> Ping www.yahoo.com ...

PASS

So if these two failed . The speed is terrible in bittorrent.

Please anyone can help me for fix that problem. can i fix it on my router or is that a problem from the internet company?

Thanks

Bones

It certainly sounds like something is b0rked on the external side of your router. Are there login credentials you're missing in the setup? Many routers block PING commands explicitly. Have you tried something like tracert www.google.com?

Given I don't even know what an OAM segment is I can't suggest anything past the router at this point. What type is it? Is it listed @ http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm ? Are there multiple computers on your LAN? Is it possible you're behind a proxy, i.e. http://canyouseeme.org displays a WAN IP different from the External IP in the router setup?

Looks like an ADSL router, and "OAM" appears to be some kind of connection testing. Bad speed? I'm thinking either the hardware, or bad settings. In addition to jewelisheavens suggestions, what make an' model modems and routers do you have? What's your upload speed according to the speed test offered by µT? What are your speed guide settings (Ctrl+G)?
