hermanm
I'm not sure where to put feature requests, but it would be helpful if I knew how much disk space was left on the WebUI. I guess by default, it would be the same disk that µTorrent is installed. If the completed downloads are in a different directory, I guess I would want to know the disk space usage left on that final destination disk. kentyman
I think this is a good idea. I find myself checking this all the time while managing torrents.
jewelisheaven
I like it... in theory.I don't know how it would be done, short of adding some new NON-torrent related key to resume.dat for the current freespace... only question. Which drive will uT check, the drive it's installed on, the drive the completed folder is on, the drive the incomplete folder is on? Or to make things easier, all places which are referenced in the 1.8 Ctrl-P -> Directories pane?
hermanm
> Directories pane?Yeah, that would work for me. Another idea is to have an advanced parameter called diskio.remaining_space. The field values would be either be a drive letter or UNC. Multiple values would be separated by a comma. Perhaps make µTorrent aware of quotas depending on what user name the process is launched as. This would help make µTorrent and WebUI more user friendly. Could take over TorrentFlux even! Example values:C,D,EC,D,\\private\music
jewelisheaven
Whoa now!! AFAIK uT would need torrent creation capability as a first feature to replace that program And I don't think that's on the books at all. Every program has its place and I think where appropriate new functionality is useful. We may see some more activity on WebUI following the lockdown which was put in place a bit ago... and hopefully soon some new backend. New frontends can take advantage of the changes as long as they don't rely on the old(er) webui.zip basecode. It doesn't include many of the features in 1.8 (each dialog needed to be put in the JS)
wjharing
yes, I like the idea too of knowing how much disk space is left. Very useful feature for me.
