Firon
It's a problem with the torrents you chose.
unkleblacky
I tend to disagree because I have contacted friends to try the same torrents and they have no problems, please advise
Ultima
Could be a firewall/proxy issue. What ISP are you using?

jewelisheaven
That means the ISP is blocking sites, sorry to say. What about http://slackware.com/torrents/ ? Only need to download for 1-3 minutes. If you've got troubles GETTING the torrents you may want to check out MAGNET: links and you'll need 1.8 in that case.

jewelisheaven
The torrents you've already tried could suffer from specific blocking or a general tracker blocking on the ISP.The slackware and http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ links are more general test links which can help determine if the ISP blocks all trackers. Start one of those torrents. What happens? Do you announce to the tracker or is there an error in "Tracker Status"? Do you connect to peers? Do you get any download speed?
