zerocoolxp
I'm planning on installing Sp3 for Win XP Home edition and wanted to confirm if there is an know issues/bug with Utorrent 1.7.7 prior to installing the update. I checked the forums and no problems have been reported yet. Can anyone confirm its compatible for SP3? Or should I wait for the release of 1.8? jewelisheaven
AFAIK the only problems stem from people who mod tcpip.sys or have http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_softwareAnd you don't HAVE to wait until 1.8 is stable, if you want to check it out just make a uT directory self-contained http://utorrent.com/faq.php#How_can_I_share_my_torrents_between_user_profiles.3FPlease remember Windows loves to hide file extensions... so be sure if you save the "settings.dat" you put it exactly like that, so Windows doesn't make it settings.dat.txt
zerocoolxp
I took a shot and installed it. No problems at all...except for the Mcafee shield service freezing during the upgrade. I know your supposed to disable it but I wanted to see the outcome. Running Utorrent now with no performance issues. Thanks for the input.
