miffy
Hello,I have a problem with uTorrent on one of my downloads. I have two operating systems installed on my computer, one is Windoows XP SP2 and one is Windows Server 2003 SP1. One if for casual use, the other is for work. Because I transferred my BT client to uTorrent from BitComet, I though I would have no problems with this: I use uTorrent on both OS's to continue the same download, except when I started using uTorrent on Windows Server 2003 one day, it did the routine re-check thingy, but the Done column showed I had only 40% completed when I had already finished up to 60% on Windows XP. I've stopped using it on Windows Server in case I might accidently mess up my download, but I work alot using Windows Server and would like to have my download finish in the background while I do work. Can someone tell me what is wrong? And I use the same version 1.3 of uTorrent on both systems, cause I run it from the same executable.
1c3d0g
Did you try to Force Re-Check it again? :| If so, what does it do? Does it still get stuck at 40%? I remember reading something about some clients not calculating the percentage done properly, but I'm not sure if this is applicable in your case... :/
miffy
Yes, every time I force the recheck it stops at 40% instead of 60%. I've also heard of different clients calculating the wrong percentage downloaded, but I'm using the same client, but on a different operating system, so I don't think it should apply. Also, I tried the official BT client on Windows XP and it re-checks fine.
Firon
Make sure you don't have any weird allocation on either client, like compact storage.
